"Attention All GigeNET Clients:

For several years, GigeNET has been providing a variety of services to our clients. One of the services we currently provide is IRC servers. However, due to changes to our systems, we need to discontinue this service.

The IRC service will be discontinued on May 12, 2010. Only those on the 66.252.0.0 network range will be affected.

Again, if you have an IRC server running on the 66.252.0.0 network, the service will be disconnected on May 12, 2010! Please plan accordingly.

No other services provided by GigeNET will be impacted, interrupted or disconnected!

If you have any questions, please contact customer service at (800) 561-2656 x8106.

Sincerely,
Your GigeNET Support team"

This news came today ..... the outcome of this is already being felt across the industry.  Shell Providers scrambling to try to beat the rush of having to restore services to clients.  But providers are also screaming REFUND!!!!  Host providers that spent money for services only to have to spend out more money to replace these servers.
