This article is to provide insight (hopefully) into what happened with Acmeshells one of the worlds greatest hosting companies.  May she Rest in Peace.

Acmeshells once one of the greatest shell providers out there has fallen to ruin.  Back in the day Acmeshells with its 3 Primary Shell Servers, Monarch Republic and Empire and its Web Server Dictator had everything the common shell user could ask for.  Great Support Staff, Awesome server stability and better yet very good pricing.  Back in the day there was Dragonflu, TheGod and a few others who were at the helm.  Over the years somethings changed at Acme, TheGod left as well as others, leaving Dragonflu in command of day to day operations.  Autumn came on board and began becoming a very good asset to the company.  But behind the scenes of it all there was Jacob McMaster, the silent partner that the average Acmeshells client didnt even know existed.  Though Jacob didnt understand the business of Shell operations he left that in the hands of Dragonflu and Autumn.  But as of late demands and requests made by McMasters grew tiresome for the leaders of Acmeshells.

Dragonflu and Autumn decided after 4+ years as the leaders of Acmeshells that they would step aside.  This would thrust McMasters into the limelight.  McMasters knowing nothing of Acmeshells day to day operations from being behind the scenes all these years could have possibly spelled disaster. 

In the End ... the battle for control of Acmeshells proved to be her downfall.  Acmeshells now lay broken and bleeding as a company.  Her Clients having no where to turn to except to other providers out there.  Xzibition and Quadspeedi both answered the call and have offered discounts to acme clients looking for new homes.

Acmeshell Clients can feel secure in knowing that their personal information was NEVER in jeopardy.  Dragonflu and Autumn kept all CC Info Encrypted in a special database and McMasters never got access to the billing systems or client databases.  So when it came time to liquidate Acmeshells the only thing that could be sold off were the domains.  Quadspeedi got most if not all of Acmeshells Domains and they are trying to reconstruct some of Acmes popular Vhosts on their current servers.

To Dragonflu and Autumn.  I was a very loyal client to Acmeshells and it hurt me greatly to see her downfall.  I do not blame them for the downfall of Acmeshells even if this news article seems to point that way.  There were too many hands involved with Acmeshells both in front and behind the scenes.  RIP Acmeshells.
